Hello! My name is Natasha Tabunschikova. I am the Director of the International Language School in the city of Novosibirsk, Siberia. For the past six years we've been
organizing International Summer Language Schools aimed at learning a foreign language while living in a diverse multicultural environment, in which students find it easy to reveal and develop their communicative skills, knowledge and talents.

We've been honored to welcome the participants from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark, Japan, Poland, who have volunteered to join the School and made
an extremely worthwhile contribution to the program. On the Russian side, the participants of the program are the students grades 5 through 11, aged 10 through 17 years old, adult learners, Russian teachers and staff.

At this point we start searching for volunteer participants interested in joining the
International Summer Language School "MILLENNIUM SUMMER" which will be taking place in a few sessions since the end of June until the end of August in a resort on the Obskoe Sea shore in a picturesque suburban area of the major Siberian city of Novosibirsk.

We seek participation from as wide a geographic distribution of cultures and nations as possible, so that representatives of a broad range of nations could have an opportunity to share their culture, express their opinions and make a lot of good friends to achieve a greater international understanding.

The foreign PARTICIPANTS of the program are as follows:

1. VOLUNTEER TEACHERS AND PROJECT COORDINATORS:
- TEACHERS of English and other subjects levels elementary school through University, who are native speakers of the English language.
They teach a class in English and supervise a project.
- SPECIALISTS in other fields (computing, business, journalism, music, etc.) who are native speakers of English.
They teach an English class or a class in their field and supervise a project.
- UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, native English speakers.
They teach an English class or a class in their field and supervise a project.
- Teachers, other specialists, University students who speak ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE.
They teach a class on their culture or a class in English, and supervise a project.

All volunteer teachers and project coordinators have an opportunity to take a COURSE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE organized within the summer language school program.

2. STUDENTS:
- COLLEGE and UNIVERSITY students from English-speaking countries
They take a COURSE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. They can also teach English and/or supervise a project.
- MIDDLE and HIGH SCHOOL students from English-speaking countries.
They take a COURSE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE and are involved in project activity.
- University, Middle and High School students who speak ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE.
They have a choice of taking a COURSE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE and/or ENGLISH CLASSES conducted by native speakers of English, and are involved in project activity.

The program focuses on the importance of complete linguistic and cultural immersion.

PROGRAM FEATURES:

- Accommodation and full board (4 meals a day) in a resort which provides comfortable rooms, classrooms, nice recreational, sports, and spa facilities.
- 5 English classes a day.
- 1 hour of project work a day.
- 5 classes for students and 3 classes for teachers a day at the COURSE OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE. Intensive courses of the Russian language and culture are tought by
well-educated native speakers trained to teach Russian to foreigners.
- Exciting cultural and recreational program: contests and competetions, quizes, shows, performances, disco, etc.
- Sports: soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming.
- Socializing: meetings in local communities, outings, barbecue, traditional Russian sauna, field trips.
- Excursion program: per two weeks: one whole-day guided tour of the largest Siberian city of Novosibirsk (museums, galleries, parks, the zoo), a boat tour on the Ob River.
- Transfers to and from the local airport in Novosibirsk.

That's a regular program we organize. If a group of teachers and/or students want to come for a longer period of time, we can do that, as well.In addition to that extra excursions and side tours can be arranged individually and in groups, including sightseeing in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, trips to Lake Baikal and the Altai Mountains.

FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS RESPONSIBILITES:
- Roundtrip airfare to Novosibirsk.
- Obtaining the Russian visa and visa fees.
- Medical insurance.
- Participation fees, which vary depending on the status of the participant.

PARTICIPATION FEES are as follows:
1. TEACHER'S Participation fees:
- two-week program: $260
- four-week program: $480
- six-week program: $700
- eight-week program: $920.

2. STUDENTS'S Participation fees:
- two-week program: $390
- four-week program: $730
- six-week program: $1070
- eight-week program: $1410.

We believe it is essential for young people to develop a deeper awareness of their role as sirizens of the world through direct experience in other cultures and languages, and acquire global skills, knowledge and attitudes, needed to live effectively in the world characterized by ethnic diversity, cultural pluralism and interdependence.
