Turkey is as safe as any other European country. In Addition, it's still inexpensive and people are very nice. Of course, in some places there are the persisting vendors. But you just need to say a friendly "no, thank you".
The landscape is very nice and changes depending on where you're.
Without having seen Turkey you would miss a great experience.
